INFO FOR DONORS

HOW TO DONATE:1) Donate at least 5 USD (or equivalent in other currencies) to a verified Palestinian fundraiser to receive 1 SFW art/fic. (You can submit multiple prompts as long as you donate enough to cover, them, e.g. 100USD = 20 SFW fanworks.)2) Submit proof of donation i.e. a screenshot of the donation receipt or confirmation email. (Please block out your personal details e.g. full name or bank card.)3) Submit a prompt in the donor prompt form. You can request ORV fanart/fic of ORV characters/ships/platonic dynamics you want to see, as long as it's within our rules.WHERE TO DONATE:
- You will be donating directly to a verified Palestinian fundraiser. We will NOT be collecting any money from you at any point.
- We will be highlighting a few struggling/stagnant GoFundMes of Palestinian families from GazaFunds' list. Gaza Funds highlights stagnant/struggling, verified fundraisers of Palestinian families who urgently need donations for evacuation, medical treatment, basic necessities etc. Any fundraiser from Gazafunds will be accepted.- We will also be accepting proof of donations to Gaza Municipality, who are doing vital, life-saving work to provide clean water and waste management services for Palestinians in Gaza City.Other proofs of donation we will accept:- Care for Gaza: Palestinian charity on the ground in Gaza distributing food and essentials to displaced families and children.- eSIMs for gaza eSIMS are the only way for Palestinians in Gaza to use internet and communications, which is necessary for journalists, medics and families trying to contact their loved ones.PROMPT RULES:
- Try not to have prompts that are too overly complicated as these are not commissions but done for charity, and some creators are busy so we do not want them to feel overwhelmed.
- Max 5 characters in 1 art prompt as we do not want artists to feel overwhelmed.
- If we are ever unable to find a suitable creator to fulfill your prompt, we will reach out to ask you for a backup prompt. You are also encouraged to include a backup prompt when submitting your prompt in the form.
- Please note that explicit + dead dove content will not be included within the scope of this event due to the majority of the creators in our interest check preferring SFW and some participants being minors. We sincerely apologize to anyone who was really looking forward to these content. Mods are too busy to run another event, but those interested in content outside of the scope of our event are welcome to hold their own fundraisers to raise more funds!
- We also highly encourage prompts to be SFW. Romantic ship prompts and slightly suggestive prompts are welcome so long as they does not go beyond a T/16+ rating and do not have dead dove elements.
- Prompts featuring platonic interactions between minors and teens are welcome.
- If anyone submits an explicit or dead dove prompt by accident, we will simply reach out to you to ask you to submit a different prompt.
- For detailed explanations of our decision regarding dead dove, see here.
- Strictly no discrimination, prejudice or hate of any form against any marginalized identity is allowed in this event.

FAQ

QUESTIONS FROM CREATORS:Q: Is there a deadline/How long is the time frame for creators to complete their works? You will have at least 1 month to complete your works, the tentative posting deadline is 28 Aug. However, if you need more time, simply let us know and we can extend the deadline for you! We understand a lot of people are busy.Q: I would like to be anonymous/my account is private/I was assigned a donor who is only on Tumblr but I don't have a Tumblr. No worries, in any of the above scenarios, we can post the art/fic on our Twitter/Tumblr account on your behalf. Simply DM/email us the art file or fic, and let us know how you would like to be credited (or if you want to be anonymous).
We can also email your work to the donor directly, especially if the donor prefers to be emailed instead of tagged on social media (e.g. the donor wants to be anonymous).
Q: Can I make more art/fic if I find that I have more time/availability to do so?Of course! If you would like to get more, or fewer, prompts than you state in the (upcoming) creator sign-up form, while the form is still open (1 - 14 July) you can edit your response in the form. If you would like to make changes after the form is closed (after 14 July), DM us to update us of how many prompts you want to do.Q: Is there going to be a way to filter prompts by genre? E.g. fluff vs angst? If you have strict/specific preferences, please state them clearly in the upcoming creator signup form as we will be assigning prompts based on the info you provide there. The form will ask what kind of prompts you want, and do NOT want to create for. You can list your preferred genres/ships there. You will also be asked to list any triggers/dislikes that you do NOT want to get prompts of at all. While we will do our best to match everyone with a suitable prompt, please note we cannot guarantee everyone will get their fav tropes as it really depends on what prompts are submitted. However, we will do our best to avoid the prompts with content on your Do Not Want list. You can also say no to a prompt you're uncomfortable with, which we will then reassign to another creator.Q: I have not finished reading ORV, can I still join/can I ask for prompts with no spoilers?Sure, you can still join if you read enough of the novel/webtoon to feel comfortable making art/fic of ORV. In the creator signup form we will include a question regarding spoilers, where anyone who needs to avoid spoilers will be able to state which chapter of the novel/webtoon you read until, so that we can take note and try to assign you prompts which don't have major spoilers.-------------------------------------------

QUESTIONS FROM POTENTIAL DONORS/PROMPTERS:Q: Are crossovers allowed?
Yes! We have multiple creators interested in crossovers. The only issue is if it's a fandom that none of our creators have heard of. If it is a fandom that's not well-known, please provide a reference image for art just in case. For fic, have a backup prompt just in case our writers are not familiar with the crossover fandom.
Q: Can I use a debit card to donate even if my country doesn't use USD currency?Yes, you should be able to. GoFundMe accepts credit and debit cards of these types: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. See GFM's info on payment methods accepted for different countriesAnd yes, you don't have to use USD to donate, simply use a currency calculator to calculate the equivalent of US$5 in your country's currency. In addition, some GFMs are in other currencies e.g. Euros, AUD, CAD, GBP or others. If you are from one of those countries, you can choose to donate to one in your currency if available (please ensure the GFM is a verified one on GazaFunds' list). We hope this helps, do DM us if you need any help.Q; Can I submit multiple prompts/Can I donate twice and request both fic and art?
Of course! You can request as many works as you want, just make sure your donation covers all of them :) e.g. You can donate 20 USD (or equivalent in other currencies) to get 2 SFW fics + 2 SFW art or 4 SFW fics or 4 SFW art.
Q: Are prompts of canon ORV characters + OCs allowed? We have some artists who are willing to draw ORV character + OC works if there is a reference/description provided. For art, please help our artists by providing a reference image when submitting your prompt in the prompt form (e.g. you can make your OC in Picrew and Gacha Club, or provide other photo/image references, fancasts, etc, if you have them). For fics, you would have to provide a detailed description and any relevant info about your OC.If there ends up being no creator available to fill your prompt, do have a backup prompt just in case. You might also be interested in checking out other art charity initiatives for Gaza that have artists willing to draw your OCs in exchange for donations to Palestine, such as Artists 4 Palestine, Artists for Gaza Esims.OTHER QUESTIONS:Q: How will this help Palestinians?Palestinians in Gaza are facing a genocide, struggling to survive in horrific conditions. Some families have started fundraisers on GoFundMe for funds to evacuate to safety, for medical treatment, or for basic necessities (e.g. food, water), which have become extremely expensive due to the blockade and much of international aid still being stopped at the border by Israel.Hence, inspired by the original TGCF Gotcha for Gaza and other fandom fundraisers which successfully raised US$50,000 across 20+ fandoms, we hope to encourage more people to donate to Palestinian fundraisers, leveraging the power of fan communities for collective action. Having fanart/fic for donors to claim after donating is simply to thank donors, as well as an extra incentive to encourage as many to donate as possible. It also allows those who are unable to donate to do something to help Palestinians (by drawing/writing to encourage others to donate).Q: Why is it called a “Gotcha”?The mod of the original TGCF Gotcha for Gaza, who started the whole initiative, named it “Gotcha” to sound like Gacha, as prompts are randomly assigned to creators. The rest of the fandoms simply followed suit.-----------------------------------------------(Still have questions? Either DM us, email us at [email protected], or ask in our retrospring).
